The 'top' of our little world in Lowtown
Of course, when it comes to updates regarding a certain hound, I do realize, not everyone out there is particularly interested in such matters. This I perfectly understand, I’m sure those of you with little interest can and will, give this next bit a miss.
Those of you still persevering with this dose of verbal trundling, will of course know that, the boy Bing is a ‘talker.’ Now those who have not chosen to continue will have assumed that the old poops wanderings with the lad, are just that….um….wanderings.
BUT the more sensible of you out there will be quite aware that, the companion of my days off, and stroller of paths with me, is in fact far more than just a figment of this chumps imagination.
Indeed, his pals Tom and Angela, and their new addition ‘an Arthur’ will testify, the lad follows a busy schedule, of which the old poop seated here, bashing the old qwerty keyboard is, but a small part of our canine pals weekly round.
Being human, I of course feel a tad sad that my limited abilities are unable to gain the complete comprehension of all that have noticed these pages. Bing on the other hand could not give a hoot when it come to such matters.
He is….Bing……and Bing is perfectly happy to delight in and be delighted by those who do take an interest in him, as for the rest….well quantity is, again, a human hang-up – not part of a Bing about Lowtowns world.

‘Oi guv!’
‘Bing?’
‘What are we going to do today?’
‘Well old chap, I thought a strol………’
My sentence requires no more, by the time I enter the hall, there he is, tail wagging, sitting patiently, next to his lead.
Recently, I may have mentioned that the boy is now my personal trainer, and despite my muttering, grumblings and general tup-tupping, he has maintained his usual cheerful demeanour, and borne my jibbering, with the forbearance of a chap, close to being beatified.
Again, in me he recognises not only an ‘easy touch’ but also an affable dolt!
‘I think you’re loosing a bit of weight guv.’
I find it hard not to feel rather pleased.
‘Really?’
‘Well, old poop, you’re not quite as hard to tow up the pavement today!’
His tail wags vigorously and I hear a very loud chuckle! Indeed, such is its volume that old ‘happy’ our postman, wheeling his cart on the other side of the road, glares at me, not realizing it’s the lad tee-heeing and not me! This of course is typical, but I guess a small price to pay for spending ones time with…….
a ‘talker!’
......and just ahead, bathed in sunshine, the ancient forest and 'our hill' awaits.
